چکیده

As the long-term evolution (LTE) system is reaching maturity and fifth-generation (5G) systems are being commercially deployed, researchers have turned their attention to development of next-generation wireless networks. Compared current networks, on one hand, networks expected achieve significantly higher capacity, extremely low latency, ultra-high reliability, as well massive ubiquitous connectivity for supporting diverse disruptive applications (e.g., virtual reality (VR), augmented (AR), industry 4.0). On other toward requires a paradigm shift from communication-oriented design multi-functional design, including communication, sensing, imaging, computing, localization. Looking back at history communication systems, multiple access (MA) techniques been key enablers. From first generation (1G) fifth (5G), orthogonal (OMA) schemes mainly employed, where users allotted in frequency/time/code resources, uplink transmission code code-division multiple-access (CDMA) uses non-orthogonal resources. However, given enormous challenges services which differ that previous existing MA may not be applicable. result, fundamental issue (NGMA) techniques. The concept NGMA enable very large number users/devices efficiently, flexibly, intelligently connected with network over radio resources only satisfy stringent requirements but also realize heterogeneous functions. investigation still infancy stage, extensive research efforts devoted areas, limited 1) new schemes, such (NOMA) space division (SDMA), capable achieving bandwidth efficiency compared conventional schemes; 2) innovative techniques, reconfigurable metasurfaces, random access, advanced modulation, channel coding, beneficial overall NGMA; 3) exploitation machine learning (ML) tools big data providing effective solutions address newly emerging problems.
